These are currently the only pages on the site carrying affiliate links; our blog articles and guides carry none.

Editorial Independence

Our editorial recommendations are not influenced by affiliate relationships. We select products based on:

How We Make Money

Porchlight at Home is funded primarily through:

• Display advertising (if and when enabled — not currently active)

We do not sell user data. We do not charge readers to access our guides, calculators, or tools.

No Referral Fees, No Lead Selling

We do not operate a referral service. We do not collect contact details, we do not pass reader information to contractors, installers, or care communities, and we take no commission, finder's fee, or placement fee from any of them. If you hire someone based on something you read here, we earn nothing from it.

Educational Resource, Not a Service Provider

Porchlight at Home is an independent publisher. We publish guides, tools, and calculators to help families make informed aging-in-place decisions. We are not a licensed contractor, a home safety assessor, a care agency, or a referral service. We do not visit homes, install anything, schedule appointments, or connect families with local providers. Any pricing or scheduling figures on this site describe typical industry rates charged by other businesses, never services we perform.

Accuracy and Updates

We make reasonable efforts to keep product information, prices, and availability accurate, but pricing and stock on Amazon and other vendor sites change frequently. Always verify current price, specifications, and shipping details on the vendor's product page before purchasing.
